Introduction:

Every once in a while as summer nears it's end, a childhood memory comes creeping into my mind. I suppose we all have one, or rather several memories from childhood. Little moments that has left impressions which for one reason or another simply does not fade away with time - as so many others...

This particular memory of mine is from a clearing in a spruce forest in which I used to play. I suppose I could have been no more than six years old, and I had wandered into this dark spruce forest. These forests usually are just that, dark, as the thick needled branches block out most of the sunlight.

In this particular forest however, there was a small clearing. It couldn't have been more than a very few square meters in size, but it was large enough to host the most peculiar forest floor. At the right time when the flowers would be in full bloom, the forest floor in this particular little clearing would  be absolutely covered with blue Liverleaf and Bluebell flowers, like a gigantic blue blanket.

The sun would pierce through the opening in the clearing, setting all the particles in the air along with the flora on the forest floor ablaze in a golden hue!
